Carolyn H. Pells is not a writer, theologian, mythologist, or scientist. She is a witness — a witness compelled to share her near-death experience (NDE) as accurately and truthfully as she can. This is a difficult task, as it is almost impossible to communicate the exact essence of an NDE. In addition, her NDE is sacred to her and difficult to share with an audience.
She began a quest for words to share her incredible experience. At first, she did not realize that she was searching, but as the years went by, she recognized her pursuit. She found many people who testified to similar experiences. Many disciplines contributed to her search in addition to science, religion and art.
